Shaving the hoods, and voiding warranties:
Necessary, but indeed cardiac injurious: Tearing in pieces 3 fantastic 700 eur optics.
Fantastic they are, because of the good flare control, and the reduced amount of aberration they spot in near 200 degrees in field of view… once the sunshade has been removed!
Peter Murphy was the first to shave the Nikkor 10,5 mm. Hervé Douris a.k.a. Romuald Vareuse was second: he did it the day (or the next) when Peter posted its announcement.
